01Who is responsible

bestdev.in is run by Sachin Sharma, an individual software developer in India. Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), Sachin Sharma is the Data Fiduciary for personal data collected through this site.

02What the site collects

• Contact form: the name, the one-line description of what you are building, and the phone number or email you type in. Only when you press send.
• WhatsApp and Call buttons: pressing one opens your own WhatsApp or phone app with a prefilled message or number. The message is sent only if you send it, and WhatsApp then handles it under its own terms.
• Hosting logs: like any website, whoever hosts the pages keeps routine server logs (for example IP address, browser type, page requested). I do not use these to identify visitors.

Analytics and advertising: this site does not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts, and sets no cookies today. When you press a contact button, the page records that click as a plain event inside your own browser so that a tag manager could count it if one is ever added. Nothing about it leaves your browser now. If that changes, this page changes first.

03Why it is used

Only to answer your enquiry and, if we work together, to run the project. It is not sold, not rented, and not added to a mailing list. I will not send you marketing you did not ask for.

04Consent

I process what you send because you chose to send it, which is your consent under the DPDP Act. You can withdraw consent at any time by telling me; I will stop using the data and delete it unless the law requires me to keep it.

05Who else sees it

Only me, and the service that carries the message: WhatsApp if you use that route, or the form service if one is connected to the contact form. No such form service is connected at the moment. If one is added, it will be named here.

06How long it is kept

If we do not end up working together, I delete your enquiry within 12 months. If we do, I keep project records for as long as the work and the handover need them, then delete or return them. You can ask for earlier deletion at any time.

07Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask me to:

• tell you what personal data of yours I hold and how it is used;
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date;
• erase it;
• nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you cannot;
• deal with a complaint. If I have not resolved it, you may take it to the Data Protection Board of India.

08Children

This site is written for adults who run or are starting a business. It is not meant for people under 18, and I do not knowingly collect their data.

09Security

The site is served over HTTPS and I keep what I hold to the minimum above. No system is perfectly secure, so I do not ask for passwords, ID numbers or payment details through this site.
